Welcome to a new year. We’re glad to see 2017 come. Last year was not the best for business in the Middle East, especially the Saudi Arabian market. Low oil prices created a financial crunch for the Kingdom with many projects put on hold or cancelled. What started out to look like a strong year for us turned out to be just the opposite. None the less all good companies plan ahead for these things and Energy International is no exception. We took the opportunity at the Big 5 Show to bring all of the executives and office managers together to plan for our future. Ownership is in the throes of building a five year plan for the Energy International Group of Companies, taking into consideration the feedback from the meeting to insure success for every division.
The Saudi market is on the rebound and things are looking much better for Energy International as we move into the new year. We have promoted Fadi Rashid to General Manager of our Jordan office. Fadi has been doing some amazing things with our Jordan operation. You can read about some of them in this issue. This issue also covers a prestigious hospital project in Qatar, coverage from our participation in the Big 5 Show and The Gulf Transportation Exhibition.
